Description
Askina® Barrier Spray is a sterile liquid dressing that forms a clear film when applied to the skin.
The film is colorless, transparent and is characterized by good oxygen permeability and moisture.
Askina® Barrier does not contain alcohol and therefore does not cause irritation or unpleasant skin sensations.
Askina® Barrier Spray is indicated for use on intact or damaged skin.
Askina® Barrier spray acts as a protective barrier: against irritations caused by body fluids, for sensitive and delicate skin, under adhesive dressings, to reduce damage to healing tissues, for damaged skin, for cracked skin, for protection of the areas around the lesions and the areas around the stoma, for small cuts and lesions, at the fixation points of the external drains and catheters.
INSTRUCTION GUIDE
Askina® Barrier is very easy to apply and does not require special skills or equipment. The reapplication interval will depend on the frequency of cleaning the area and replacing the secondary dressing. If the skin is cleaned frequently, it may be necessary to reapply the product daily, but this can be reduced to 2-3 days in case of less frequent cleansing.
Skin preparation:
Clean the skin with sterile saline (0.9%) or a suitable cleanser and sterile compresses. Dry the skin thoroughly before applying Askina® Barrier
