Description
The Foley TRO-UROCATH probe is made of silicone-coated neutral latex and is available as a 2-way Nelaton tip system. The smooth surface ensures easy and painless introduction, significantly reducing the level of irritation when used for a long time. The two side holes at the top allow maximum drainage.
The syringe valve tube also indicates the color code depending on the size.
The Foley probe attaches to a collection bag that is emptied or replaced as many times as needed.
INDICATIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is recommended for acute urinary retention, surgery in the small pelvis or on the female genitals and in endoscopic examinations of the urethra, bladder and ureters.
The Foley probe has contraindications in situations where the patient has acute urethral infections, traumatic rupture of the urethra (creation of false pathways, worsening of the perineal hematoma) or tight urethral strictures.
