SHOULDER ABDUCTION ORTHOSIS

The orthosis purpose is the immobilization of the shoulder and elbow joint.

It is recommended for post-surgical treatments of the shoulder, post-reconstruction of rotator cuff injury and antero-posterior capsule reconstruction; shoulder prosthesis, fractures of the head of the humerus, post-arthroscopy of the shoulder.

Description

It comprises a cushion with a base that allows a 30 degree abduction angle.

There are two adjustment possibilities:

  1. Arm and forearm straps joined by Velcro to belt fixation
  2. Attachment at the waist level, positioning and immobilizing the elbow and the forearm

In order to improve the degree of therapeutic efficacy in the for various pathologies, and to increase the lifespan of the product, it is essential to choose the right size (attached you will find a diagram with all sizes and the equivalent in centimeters).

Too much compression can cause intolerance – so we recommend that the degree of compression should be adjusted to the optimum value.
